10 of the sweetest cats who are the perfect companion if you have a garden

Many believe a house isn't a home without a family pet, but instead of paying over the odds for a kitten, there's many beautiful young and older cats you can get from Battersea.

The animal welfare charity makes rehoming affordable with older cats only costing £95, which includes:

Full vet assessment
Microchipping
Flea and worm treatment
Initial vaccinations
Starter pack of food
Four weeks free of Petplan insurance
Blanket and toy.

Kittens under six months old are a little bit more costly, at £130, but compared to the private market, kittens alone (without insurance or microchipping) can range from £225 to £750.
