Two women and a dog were trapped after a fire broke out at an apartment complex in Dwarka on Saturday, the Delhi Fire Services (DFS) said. All three have now been rescued.
According to DFS officials, a call was received at around 5.30 pm about a fire breaking out at the 6th floor of Lovely Home apartments in Sector 5, Dwarka. A total of six fire tenders were rushed to the spot.
After reaching the place, it was found out that the fire had broken out in Flat Number 604 and a woman Usha Sharma, 70, was stuck inside with her 30-year-old daughter Vinita and their pet dog in the balcony.
All three were rescued through the balcony of the flat.
The fire broke out due to some inflammatory domestic articles and was doused, DFS said.
