We all love life hacks that make life easier, but why not extend that love to life hacks for dogs too? Here are some simple, but practical tips for those of you that live with dogs to help make living the “dog life” a little easier.

Material required:

Shower cap

Squeegee

Vinegar

Baking soda

Iodised salt

Parsley leaves

Squeegee removes pet hair: You can use a window squeegee to remove pet hair from your carpet, car seats, and sofas. A squeegee can efficiently remove the hair stuck in the fabric.

DIY tick and flea repellent: Every dog owner needs to learn this DIY tick and flea repellent. Take 8 ounces of vinegar, half tsp of baking soda, one and a half spoon of iodised salt, and mix them in 4 ounces of warm water. Put the liquid repellent in a spray bottle. Spray your dog hair every time they are leaving home. Besides this, regular combing is also essential.

Parsley can freshen up the breath: Dogs have stinky breath usually when some food is stuck in their teeth or when they get wet dog food. Switching to dry dog food can be an option to avoid the problem. If you don’t want to change their diet, you can sprinkle some parsley leaves on top of the dog food to keep his breath fresh.

Use a shower cap to keep water out of dogs’ ears: Keep the shampoo and water out of your dogs’ ears by using a shower cap! Some breeds are more sensitive to getting excess water in their ears and ear canals which can lead to ear infections. You can also cut a hole in a shower cap to fit over your dog’s face, with their nose and eyes exposed through the hole, and their ears covered by the cap. The elastic should be behind the ears. Get your dog used to wearing the protective cone or cap before bath time.
