Investigators found 49 animals living trapped in cage full of their own feces and urine at an elderly hoarder's disgusting Long Island house.
Suffolk Count officers received worrying reports from neighbors that 79-year-old Linda Hart was torturing dogs in her Ronkonkoma home.
After obtaining a search warrant, investigators entered the house of horrors to find 49 pets caged throughout the foul residence as well as thousands of maggots and flies.
The cruel woman had trapped the distressed dogs in cages full of feces and urine throughout her house of horrors.
Hart had left the innocent pooches to become severely matted with barely an inch to move in what an officer described as ‘the worst' case of animal abuse he has ever seen.

Some of the animals had to be hospitalized and several of the cages had to be cut open.
Chief of the Suffolk SPCA Roy Gross said, ‘There was not a room in the house that did not have cages in them with dogs in them, including the bathroom.'
‘It appears that she was a hoarder,' Gross told The Post.
The conditions inside the foul property were so bad that investigators had a hard time breathing in there.
The house was condemned, as it was decided by the town that the home was so revolting it was uninhabitable.
Six parrots were also found living in disgusting conditions in the dirty house.
Gross said that the dogs were discovered in such grim condition that they won't be ready for adoption for a while.

They were mostly taken to Islip's animal shelter for evaluation.
‘I don't know what else to say other than it's just a horrible, horrible situation that these animals suffered like this in that type of environment,' he added.
Hart was hit with 49 counts of animal cruelty on Tuesday. She is expected to appear in First District Court in Central Islip later this month
