Hamilton-based artist and animal-lover Katie Favell will guide participants through the process during an afternoon session

Pets have a special bond with their owners. Whether it's a cat or dog, the wag of a tail or a soft meow from these furry friends brings out the best in people. Their companionship and antics bring pleasure to all who know them.

This unconditional love can be captured on canvas at a portrait workshop. RiverBrink Art Museum invites owners to celebrate their furry, four-legged companions who are so much a part of their lives by learning how to paint a picture of them.

According to the RiverBrink newsletter, class instructor Katie Favell is a Hamilton-based artist and animal lover. She has been guiding participants in creating stunning pet portraits since 2018. She will pre-sketch your pet on canvas, and guide you step-by-step through the painting process. The fee is $75.00 for members, and $85.00 for general admission. For every ticket sold, Favell will donate to a local animal shelter.

This workshop will be held at RiverBrink Art Museum. 116 Queenston St. in the village of Queenston, this Saturday afternoon April 5th, 2025, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. All materials, including non-toxic and non-lead paints, will be provided by the artist and RiverBrink.
