SIBLEY, Iowa — The Clover Kids of Osceola County took a heartwarming initiative to support the Humane Society of Northwest Iowa by creating handmade dog treats and cat toys to donate to the Humane Society.

The Clover Kids also organized a “Paws and Claws Care Drive” to collect items from the community. The drive aimed to gather pet donations to accompany their handmade creations.

“The Clover Kids program is all about fostering creativity, leadership and a sense of community among our youngest members,” said Trey Haag, Osceola County Youth Coordinator. “I am incredibly proud of the Clover Kids for their dedication and hard work. This project was a great opportunity for them to learn about empathy, teamwork and the importance of giving back.”

The Clover Kids’ project not only highlighted their compassion and dedication but also encouraged community involvement and awareness about the needs of local animal shelters. Their efforts demonstrated the power of youth engagement in making a positive impact on society.

Clover Kids is a once-a-month program designed for students in grades K-3. The program's mission is to empower youth to reach their full potential through child-centered and research-based experiences. For more information about getting your children enrolled, contact Trey Haag at (712) 754-3648 or treyhaag@iastate.edu.
