Heavy Machinery: This handsome wide load is ready for his forever home. Heavy Machinery is good with people of all ages and loves attention. He has enjoyed meeting other dogs at the shelter. Come get this snuggle boy and he can help you stay warm!
McLovekins: This beautiful girl cannot wait to go on her next adventure with her new family. She is great with other dogs and does not seem to mind cats. She loves to go for walks and enjoys being with people.
Gemstone: This sweet girl is looking for her forever home. Gemstone is almost a year old. She is cat-friendly and loves treats. Gemstone is doing well in her foster home but would love a home of her own.
K-36: This ridiculously adorable cross-eyed boy is ready for his forever family. He is good with other cats and has lived in a home with dogs. He loves treats and cannot wait to curl up and take naps on the couch.

Burke County Animal Services is at 425 Kirksey Drive in Morganton. Adoption fees are $20 for cats and $40 for dogs, which includes spay/neuter, rabies vaccine and other preventatives. Veterans are allowed to adopt a pet for free with a military ID.
Animal Services is currently in need of food donations for its community pet food bank, which goes to help pets of those in need. Donations can be dropped off or mailed to Burke County Animal Services at 425 Kirksey Drive, Morganton, NC 28655.
Those in need of pet food can stop by Animal Services and fill out a one-time informational form and let them know what you need.
