PETA activist studying final year engineering student has lodged a complaint that nine stray dog puppies were beaten to death inside the Airport Authority of India (AAI) residential quarters.

Stray dog menace has become a rising concern and the public urged the concerned authorities to take proactive steps to ensure the safety of residents, particularly children who are more vulnerable to such attacks.
Chennai: In Meenambakkam, Samaran, 21, a PETA activist studying final year engineering student has lodged a complaint that nine stray dog puppies were beaten to death inside the Airport Authority of India (AAI) residential quarters. He alleged in his complaint that Poola Anwar Hussain Cargo manager AAI killed these pets.
The Meenabakkam police began an investigation into the matter.
Construction worker was booked for killing a domestic pet
In a similar incident, a construction worker was booked for killing a domestic pet at a construction site in Maduravoyal. The worker was beaten up badly by the residents after they suspected him of killing a domestic pet by hitting the dog’s mouth with an iron rod at Vanagaram near Maduravoyal.
Meanwhile, the construction worker who was admitted to the hospital lodged another complaint alleging that the dog bit the iron rod and due to this the pet suffered an injury on its mouth and subsequently died.
