RAVENSWOOD — Are you on the lookout for a massage parlor — for your dog? Or maybe you need fun treats for your favorite pooch this holiday season?
If so, you’ll probably find what you’re looking for at the dog-friendly Howliday Wag N’ Shop market and fundraiser on Sunday.
The market, hosted by Bosly’s Backyard, 4011 N. Ravenswood Ave., will spotlight more than 20 dog-focused vendors from the Chicago area selling everything from organic dog treats to crocheted pet wearables. Pet Massage Plus, Another Chance Training and handmade fashionable dog-collar crafter Boujee Pups Accessories will be there, among others.
Bosly’s has hosted similar markets since 2022, said owner and market organizer Kim Theobald. She’s expecting more than 100 attendees Sunday.
“I really just love bringing together all of these amazing small businesses that I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and working with,” she said. “Most of these businesses don’t have a brick-and-mortar store and they’re small businesses, so going to markets is the way that they sell their products.”
Theobald founded Bosly’s to give pups like her own — Bosly, an energetic 13-year-old — the chance to enjoy the benefits of a dog park in a private indoor setting without feeling overwhelmed by the presence of other dogs.
All proceeds from Sunday’s event will go toward Live Like Roo, a nonprofit that provides financial and emotional support to families whose pets have cancer.
Attendees will also be automatically entered into a raffle, with prizes including playtime credit for Bosly’s Backyard.
“It’s just such a magical day. There’s just so much goodness and happiness happening. And we’re raising money for a wonderful charity,” Theobald said.
The Howliday Wag N’ Shop is noon-4 p.m. Sunday at Bosly’s Backyard, 4011 N. Ravenswood Ave. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 day of; buy them here.
