Gary is an 8-month-old pit bull terrier mix who came to the Humane Society of Missouri’s Macklind Avenue headquarters in June as an owner surrender. Gary has been working with HSMO’s behavior team on his basic training and obedience and is very smart. He has lots of puppy energy and would love a family that’s willing to work with him.

Gus is an 18-year-old mule who came to Longmeadow Rescue Ranch in May. When Gus arrived, he was terrified of humans. After a lot of trial and error, trainers found that this introverted mule did best with a single person working with him. He enjoys positive reinforcement with treats when it comes to training and gaining trust. He gets along very well with other equine and tends to be in the middle of the pecking order. Gus would likely flourish and an experienced mule adopter.
