BROADVIEW HEIGHTS, Ohio — Foofy joined our household in April 2022.
She was formerly an Amish country puppy mill breeding dog. They had invested in her by getting her leg amputated (not sure what happened to cause her to need amputation).
However, at 10 months old, they took her to the veterinarian to be euthanized, likely because she was unable to mate with other dogs due to having just three legs.
Recognizing that she was a perfectly healthy “tripawd,” a technician at the clinic rescued her and connected her to the foster agency Paw Patrol Dayton, where she was fostered until I adopted her.
She is such a sweet dog — with a lot of personality. She has a great life now with us and we love her so much!
