Abandoned and Afraid, Starsky & Hutch Found Hope—Thanks to iHeartDogs Customers

In April 2025, two abandoned dogs were found in a Texas county—alone, scared, and in poor condition. Though both were microchipped, their previous owner had left them behind. It took over two hours for the rescue team to gently earn their trust and guide them into safety.

Malnourished and shaken, the pups needed urgent medical care. Thankfully, they were chosen for our April Name a Dog Campaign, and the iHeartDogs community stepped up in a big way. Generous donations funded their recovery and provided supplies for them and their fellow rescues at BARK Rescue.

Supporters also gave them their new names: Starsky and Hutch—a perfect pair starting over together. Today, with wagging tails and hopeful hearts, they’re on the path to a brighter future.

Because of you, they’re no longer forgotten. They’re homeward bound.
