OTHELLO – Adams County Pet Rescue is thrilled to announce that over 120 dogs have already been signed up for their upcoming Fall Fix Fest, set to take place on September 20th and 21st at the Othello Fairgrounds. This highly anticipated event, aimed at providing low-cost spay and neuter services, has drawn significant community interest, with many residents eager to take advantage of this vital service.
The event, hosted in collaboration with Pawsitive Alliance and Pasado’s Safe Haven, is designed to help low-income pet owners ensure their dogs are healthy and prevent unwanted litters. For just $55, pet owners can have their dogs spayed or neutered, with vaccines and microchipping included in the fee. Participants who bring a kennel or crate will also receive a $10 rebate.
While many spots have already been filled, Adams County Pet Rescue reports that there are still numerous openings for male dogs and a few remaining spots for female dogs. The application process remains open until all spots are filled, and the organization encourages residents to spread the word to ensure no one misses out on this opportunity.
To qualify, dogs must be between the ages of 4 months and 8 years, weigh over 4 pounds, and not display aggressive behavior. The event is limited to two dogs per household, and all requirements must be met to participate.
Pet owners who have already registered are reminded to check their email for further instructions. The Adams County Pet Rescue team is available to assist with scheduling from 12-5 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
