TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Adele is a big more soft-spoken than her power-singing namesake, but this sweet girl would add to a loving soundtrack for a fur-ever family.
Adele joined Emi Griess of Helping Hands Humane Society in a visit to Eye on NE Kansas.
Emi says Adele is a six-year-old mixed breed who arrived at the shelter as a stray. Emi said Adele joins a lot of canine friends at HHHS – so many, that the shelter has implemented $0 dog adoptions through Oct. 31 because the kennels are once again filled.
Emi said the Thursday night storms seemed to spark a busy day for intakes Friday. She said if your pet ran off during the storms, but sure to check the HHHS lost and found pages on Facebook, fill out a missing pet report, and visit the shelter in person to see if your furry friend has been brought into the shelter.
Microchipping your pet is the best way to ensure it finds its way back home if it becomes lost, Emi said. HHHS provides microchipping for a small fee.
