Adoptable pets at Bergen County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center

Meet NorthJersey.com’s adoptable pets of the week for Sept. 20!

Each week, NorthJersey.com would like to highlight adoptable animals from local shelters and rescues.

If you foster, work at, or volunteer with a North Jersey animal shelter or rescue and know of some animals who are in need of a loving fur-ever home please send a photo, description and adoption information to amwallace@gannett.com to have your adoptable pets featured in the next edition.

This week we are featuring Cindy and Runner from the Bergen County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center in Teterboro.

Cindy

Cindy is a 1-year-old female tabby cat looking for her fur-ever home.

Although she takes a moment to get used to new people, Cindy eventually becomes super affectionate. She would like to be the queen of her castle and would do best in a home with no other cats.

Cindy is up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, spayed and is ready to go to her new home.

If you are interested in Cindy, visit the Bergen County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center’s website at https://www.co.bergen.nj.us/animal-shelter-adoption-center to print out an application and send it in for approval prior to going in.

You can visit the shelter to see all of the available felines. The shelter is open for adoption between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. every day except Monday.

Runner

Runner is a pittie mix who is looking to settle down with his forever family. He is 2 1/2 years old and can be described as friendly, affectionate, playful, athletic, funny, curious and a couch potato.

Runner is a lover, with belly rubs being his favorite. He knows basic manners and is a smart cookie. He is already housebroken and is ready for his own home.

He may be all right with other dogs as long as they have a proper introduction. Being at the shelter stresses him out, but he is easy going once he is outside of his kennel.

Runner is up to date on vaccinations, neutered and microchipped.

For more photos of Runner, visit his Petfinder profile at https://www.petfinder.com/dog/runner-70159159/nj/teterboro/bergen-county-animal-shelter-nj29/.

If you are interested in Runner, visit the Bergen County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center’s website at https://www.co.bergen.nj.us/animal-shelter-adoption-center to print out an application and send it in for approval prior to going in. Complete dog applications can be submitted for a specific dog to petadoptions@co.bergen.nj.us.

You can visit the shelter in Teterboro to see all of the available canines. The shelter is open for adoption between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. every day except Monday.
