ARLINGTON, VA.
— The American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) recently announced the hiring of Andi Harizi as its accountant.
Harizi will work closely with Andy Timmins, AFIA’s chief financial officer, to support the AFIA and its partner organizations, including the Institute for Feed Education and Research (IFEEDER), the Food and Agriculture Export Alliance (FAEA) and the Global Feed LCA Institute (GFLI).
“We are excited to welcome Andi Harizi to the AFIA team,” Timmins said.
“His experience in nonprofit accounting and strong financial background makes him an asset to our organization and our partners.
We look forward to his contributions as we continue to support the animal food industry and work toward achieving our mission.”
Before joining the AFIA, Harizi worked in outsourced accounting, where he managed a range of nonprofit accounting procedures and oversaw financial operations for several organizations.
In that role, he was responsible for tasks such as managing accounts receivable and payable, reconciling ledgers, preparing financial statements and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements specific to nonprofit entities.
Hailing from Fairfax, Va., Harizi holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
