AHS Newark says its kennels are full, ask public to come adopt or foster dogs

An animal rescue in Essex County is making a plea to the community to come adopt some pets.

The Associated Humane Society in Newark shelter says it can’t take in any more dogs until some are adopted or fostered.

The shelter is currently holding a “Pet of the Week” promotion to help get some dogs into loving homes.

Some adoption fees will be “name your price” until Saturday.

Those who can’t take home a pet can still help. The shelter is asking for donations for dog and cat food, treats, toys and other necessities.

More information about how you can help can be found HERE.
