Amazon Pet Day boosted sales.
Amazon generated some encouraging sales numbers during its recent Pet Day online sales extravaganza, according to new analysis.
In an email to Chain Store Age, Affinity Solutions said that during the week of its third annual Pet Day promotional event focused on items including pet food, toys, apparel, pet care, home products and electronics May 7-8, 2024, the retailer saw a 4.8% year-over-year increase in sales from the week of May 8, 2023.
This followed a 10.6% year-over-year increase in sales Affinity Solutions tracked from Amazon’s first-ever Big Spring Sale, which took place March 20-25, 2024.
Data collected from Affinity Solutions’ Consumer Purchase Insights, based on actual credit card, debit card and transaction data also shows that Amazon Pet Day sales were up among all generations year-over-year.
Baby boomers had the highest sales increase of any generation (6.7%) from the week of May 8, 2023.
