Anna Duggar Registers a Dog-Related Business in Arkansas

Thanks, I Hate It

Anna Duggar has filed paperwork to register a new LLC. The business, Golden Grove Pups, have followers concerned that she'll be running a dog breeding business from Jim Bob and Michelle's Arkansas home.

The Duggar family might not have reality TV stardom any longer. Josh Duggar disgraced the entire group, and critics think another scandal is just around the corner. Despite all of that, they still have their entrepreneurial spirit. Long before TLC came calling, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar dabbled in opening businesses. Most of their kids have done the same, and now their daughter-in-law is getting in on the game. Josh Duggar’s wife, Anna Duggar, just filed to open a business, and critics are concerned.

Anna Duggar fell out of the public eye several years ago after her husband, Josh Duggar, was convicted of several child pornography charges. She couldn’t possibly build a social media brand like many of her sisters-in-law, so she’s remained mostly quiet online. Now, though, it looks like she’s planning a career move of sorts. According to a recent filing, Anna Duggar plans to go into business. The mother of seven filed to register a limited liability company called Golden Grove Pups in May. While Anna is listed as the only officer for the company, she isn’t going through it alone. The business is registered to the home of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar.

Duggar family followers shared the news on Reddit. Several critics wondered if Anna was planning to breed Goldendoodle puppies, as the business name implies. Anna does not appear to have the experience or knowledge needed for breeding healthy animals, which critics were quick to point out. She has yet to pop up advertising pets for sale, though, so it may never actually happen.

This is not the first LLC Anna Duggar has registered

While Anna Duggar filed to open an LLC related to breeding dogs, it is unclear if any business will be opened. Over the years, the Duggar family has registered dozens of different companies, many of which never appeared to be particularly active, at least not in a public-facing manner.

Anna Duggar alone has registered eight different LLCs in recent years. Just one of them, the most recent, remains in good standing. Her other seven LLCs have been dissolved. Most of those businesses were registered in 2020 after the Department of Homeland Security began investigating Josh Duggar. Only two of the seven dissolved businesses were registered before the federal investigation kicked off in late 2019.

Anna Duggar isn’t the only family member who has registered multiple LLCs over the years. According to the Arkansas Secretary of State, 36 different limited liability companies have been registered by various members of the Duggar family in the last 10 years. Twenty-two of them are still in good standing.
