Yet another dog was abandoned at Pittsburgh International Airport, Allegheny County authorities confirmed Thursday, according to news reports.
The abandonment occurred around 1:15 p.m. when county authorities received a report about a dog that was tied to a pole in the short-term parking garage, KDKA reported.
Authorities were able to untie the dog, which appeared to be in good condition. Additionally, the pet was not microchipped.
“There is no excuse for leaving your pets behind,” police wrote in a Facebook post.
Right now, authorities are actively investigating to locate who left the dog behind, both WPXI and KDKA reported.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the county police tip line at 1-833-255-8477.
