Are You Legally Allowed To Be Buried With Your Pets In Texas?

Everybody in the state of Texas loves their pets.

From cats to dogs, to lizards to fish, some of us in the Lone Star State have owned a pet in our lifetime. There's nothing coming like coming how with a pet happy to see us. To put it simply, nobody gets tired of someone being happy to see you.

But when we have to say goodbye to our pet, it's certainly not easy. We remember the times we had with them before they pass away. Thankfully, while they leave us, the memories stay forever.

However, could we be laid to rest with our pets next to us in the Lone Star State? Would their be a law preventing from possibly happening?

Are Texans Allowed To Be Buried With Their Pets?

To find out the answer, we look to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. At the time of writing, there's no law in the Lone Star State that prohibits one from being buried with their pets' remains. In fact, there's a burial ground in Texas known as a “whole family cemetery,” where pet remains can be buried along a with a family.
