Austin and Kat expands footprint in the south

SEATTLE — Austin and Kat™, a premium holistic pet care brand, announced a partnership with distributor Nelson Wholesale Service (NWS) to expand its footprint throughout Texas, as well as the South and Southeastern United States. According to Austin and Kat, the partnership ensures that all retailers throughout the United States will have access to its products.

“We’re thrilled to join forces with Nelson Wholesale,” said Kat Donatello, founder of Austin and Kat. “With 18 on-the-ground reps in this territory, retailers will have knowledgeable and dedicated NWS team members supplying them with the absolute best customer service. Expanding into this market means that we can meet the needs of a new customer base and continue our mission of improving pet wellness.”

For over 75 years, NWS has been recognized for offering unique, quality brands to independent pet retailers, with a goal to support retailers. Austin and Kat’s partnership with the distributor is part of NWS’ efforts to expand distribution into the indie pet space, bringing nationally recognized wellness products to pet parents.

“We need strong partnerships if we are to advance our distribution,” said Cody Richmond, president of NWS. “By creating a relationship with Austin and Kat, we are offering added value for our customers, consumers and their pets. We are very pleased to be able to provide their premium high-quality pet supplements across our coverage territory.”

The partnership will leverage Austin and Kat’s new blend #4 formula, which is infused with over 40% more cannabinoids and CBDA molecules to provide more effective hemp solutions supporting pet wellness. All of Austin and Kat’s products are developed in-house in small batches at its South Seattle facility, called The Makery™. They are made with ethically sourced ingredients and have undergone rigorous third-party testing to ensure efficacy and quality.

Austin and Kat’s partnership with NWS builds upon its continued distribution expansion. The company has formed strategic partnerships with Independent Pet Supply, Pet Food Experts and Southeast Pet, allowing it to establish a robust presence in the pet wellness space.
