Autism Dog Services is thrilled to be the official charity of choice for the 2nd Annual Pet Palooza at the Brantford Civic Centre on June 8.
“The proceeds collected and donated to ADS will go a long way in providing training to our puppies to become future service dogs for individuals living with autism,” says Autism Dog Services fund development manager Adele Alfano.
“We had a shout-out to local ‘pet' organizations regarding submitting proposals to be the charity of choice for the 2nd Annual Pet Palooza Show,” Pet Palooza founder Stephanie Stock said.
“We had five organizations submit their proposals. We had a committee of people read over all the proposals. The one that stood out above the rest was the proposal from Autism Dog Services. It was a unanimous vote for ADS to be this year's recipient. Partial proceeds from each ticket sale will be donated to ADS who provide service dogs for individuals living with autism.”
“We are honoured to be the charity of choice for the 2nd Annual Pet Palooza show,” ADS executive director Vicky Spadoni said. “As a local charitable organization, we appreciate the exposure and for a broader audience of people to know what we do.
“And above all, you will get to see some of our service dogs in training at our vendor area. We do not charge the clients in need of our service or facility dogs and they are valued at $25,000 to $30,000. These proceeds will go towards providing these dogs that offer quality of life!”
