Bengaluru: A 34-year-old man was stabbed by three of his fellow villagers after his pet dog barked at them at Doddacheemanahalli in Bengaluru Rural District.

Madhu Kumar suffered serious injuries after he was stabbed by three men Monday night. The three men, Sunil, Anil Devaraj and Ajay, residents of the same village, stabbed Madhu after an argument with him, over his dog barking at them.

Madhu Kumar was rushed to a private hospital in Doddaballapur after he was assaulted.

“They have stabbed my son with sharp weapons and also attacked one of the pets with a rod. He has been admitted to the hospital. There are only four people at our house which is located in a remote area,” Poojamma, Madhu Kumar’s mother told Tv9 Kannada.

The trio allegedly got into an argument with Madhu about his pet dog and assaulted him, his wife Mamata, and his brother Manjunath. They allegedly barged into the house abused and assaulted family members.

Madhu Kumar’s brother registered an FIR at the Vishwanathapura Police Station. The trio has been booked under IPC sections 143 (unlawful assembly), 448 (house trespass), 307 (attempt to murder), 355 (Assault) and sections.

The suspects are absconding following the incident and the police are on the lookout for suspects, TV9 Kannada reported.
