One of President Biden's dog's attacks left a ‘severe deep open wound' on a Secret Service agent, while another left White House floors covered in blood as details of the First Pup's strikes are revealed.

The president's beloved German shepherd Commander bit Secret Service agents in at least 24 incidents, new documents reveal.

Perhaps most shocking is an attack that left the White House's East Wing floors so bloodied, tours needed to be shut down for 20 minutes, according to documents publicized by journalist John Greenewald.

Commander is reported to have bit a Secret Service agent ‘inside the Kennedy Garden' near where First Lady Jill Biden's office is located.

‘Video of the incident shows [the agent] enter the Kennedy Garden while Commander, who was off the leash and on the opposite side of the garden at the time, run at a high rate of speed towards [the agent and] jump towards [the agent] and take [them] to the ground,' the report, which was obtained by Greenewald through Freedom of Information Act request, said.

Because of the attack, the agent needed stitches to repair the ‘deep bite' the dog had left to their left arm.

‘East Wing Tours were stopped for approximately 20 minutes due to blood from the incident being on the floors in the area of the [lobby connecting the East Wing to the White House],' it continues.

Another incident highlighted in the documents includes a July 29 attack that came just days after the news of Commander causing unease among White House staffers.

The dog attacked an agent while Biden was on vacation at Rehoboth Beach in Delaware.

‘[The agent] heard the voice of what [they] believe to be FLOTUS Dr. Jill Biden yelling ‘[redacted quote].' Commander ran towards the direction of post [redacted] booth and bit [the agent] in the left forearm, [c]ausing a severe deep open wound,' it said.

That Secret Service member, according to the report, started to lose ‘a significant amount of blood' from their arm before receiving six stitches to their left hand and forearm, in addition to antibiotics, with an email suggesting they even went to the hospital for treatment.

At least one of the attacks happened in the presence of and while the agent was assisting President Biden, according to the documents, which details a bite that happened on October 2, 2022.

‘I was bit/grabbed on the left forearm' by Commander while holding open the door for the president as he entered the White House near the iconic West Wing Colonnade,' the report said.

They added that Commander came in and the circled back and grabbed his left arm and said that the dog is at the same height as they are standing.

The president said something that was redacted from the record when he entered shortly afterwards.

A White House medical staffer evaluated the bite and confirmed that it didn't break the skin, though the Secret Service agent still found it troubling.

‘I was in shock that the incident occurred. After this I was concerned about [Commander] getting out of the residence or being out without a leash for others safety and mine,' they said.

The White House pup has been removed from the residence and is now said to be with friends of the Bidens in Delaware.

But a new report by CNN reveals that the Secret Service had to change their operations when Commander was around.

A source close to the Biden family told DailyMail.com the president and first lady are ‘heartbroken' and ‘feel awful' about the incidents.

They have apologized to those involved and taken flowers to some.

‘Commander was over-protective, and even though they tried and tried to work on it, they had to let him go live with other members of their family,' the source added.

The incidents unfolded at the White House and the Biden family homes in Rehoboth Beach and Wilmington, Delaware.

Commander was also involved in a confrontation during the Biden's Thanksgiving vacation in Nantucket and during a trip to Camp David.

Members of the Secret Services' uniformed detail and the president's protective detail were involved.

At least 10 times, the member of the Secret Service required medical treatment and injuries were inflicted on arms, hands, legs and waists, according to the records first published by Greenewald.

A Secret Service technician in October 2022 said he was ‘worried about the family pets behavior escalating and that … something worse was going to happen to others'.

‘The recent dog bites have challenged us to adjust our operational tactics when Commander is present – please give lots of room,' an assistant special agent in charge of USSS' Presidential Protective Division wrote to team members, according to the report.

Commander was taken out of the White House in October after he string of biting incidents.

He arrived as a puppy in 2021 and struggled to adapt to the daily frenzy inside 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. That year, the Bidens lost two other German shepherds.

Three-year-old Major was also sent away after he bit two people in a month and Champ, who had been at Biden's side since he was vice president, died at the age of 13.

The White House has defended the pets and have blamed the stressful environment for their behavior.

Elizabeth Alexander, a spokesperson for Jill Biden, told DailyMail.com: ‘The President and First Lady care deeply about the safety of those who work at the White House and those who protect them every day.

‘Despite additional dog training, leashing, working with veterinarians, and consulting with animal behaviorists, the White House environment simply proved too much for Commander. Since the fall, he has lived with other family members.

In October, DailyMail.com published exclusive photos of Commander biting a White House member of staff.

The staff member, Dale Haney, 71, is not part of Biden's security team and was simply playing with the dog.

At the time, White House sources made the assertion that Commander targets members of the president's security detail because of their ‘unfriendly expressions.

It was reported as the two-year-old German Shepherd's 11th known biting incident.

Now more have emerged.

The most serious of Commander's attacks took place in November 2022 when an officer was hospitalized after the animal clamped down on their arms and thighs.

Emails obtained by conservative group Judicial Watch through a Freedom of Information Act request reveal that the incident was one of ten to take place in a four-month period.

It happened just one month after staff warned of the danger of attack after First Lady Jill Biden ‘couldn't regain control' of the animal as it charged a member of Secret Service staff.

A spokesman for the Secret Service told DailyMail.com: ‘The U.S. Secret Service takes the safety and wellbeing of our employees extremely seriously, and has been navigating how to best operate in an environment that includes family pets for many Presidential administrations.

‘The incidents involving Commander were treated as workplace injuries, with events documented in accordance with Secret Service and US Department of Homeland Security guidelines.

‘While Secret Service personnel neither handle nor care for the first family's pets, we work continuously with all applicable entities in order to minimize any adverse impacts from family pets.'
