Bissell Pet Foundation’s Empty the Shelters starts early at the Bowling Green Warren County Humane Society

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green Warren County Humane Society is under a Code Red, so they’ve decided to start their Empty the Shelters event a bit early.

Normally, Bissell’s Empty the Shelters event starts on May 1st, but since the Humane Society has seen a huge intake of animals recently, the event is starting a few days early.

This will include $25 adoption fees on all cats, dogs, puppies and kittens, which gives prospective pet owners a bit more money to spend on supplies like food or litter.

“Empty the Shelters is off to a really great start already. We’ve had a ton of adoptions over the last few days, but we’re really hoping to continue to see those… the intakes have not stopped at all, so it would mean the world to us if the community would step up and come in… and it’s a great time to pick your new best friend,” Leah Lawrence, Adoption Center Manager at the BGWCHS says.

There is a live feed of how many pets the Humane Society has actively… to see it, you can visit BGShelterPets.com.
