Lulu may look scared in her photos, but once she gets to know you, she really comes around! She loves other dogs, and they help her with her confidence. She will need to go to a home with other dogs already in the home. She is around a cat in her foster home too and does fine around her. Outside in the yard, she prefers you to be with her still. She is a bit fearful if she hears a loud noise. With time and patience, we think she'll start to feel more comfortable, but it is going to take some time. We are still learning more about her in her foster home and will update her bio as we do!
Ralphie has the best outlook on life! He is always smiling and seems to always be happy. He is settling into his foster home, and we will update his bio as we get to know him more.
Fannie is such a unique looking gal. Her mom was a “Borador”, a Border Collie/Lab. Our best guess is that her dad was a German Wirehaired Pointer. Fannie needs some confidence. We feel that once she's in a forever home, and bonded to her humans, she'll start to gain confidence. An obedience class may do her well too. She loves other dogs, they help her. She'll need to have another dog sibling in her new home to help her confidence grow. She seems to be house trained. She does get a bit car sick, but some mild management, such as Dramamine before car rides seems to help her out. Bonus, Fannie has been around horses and doesn't seem to bother them! Shira has been learning a lot at the Laramie County Detention Center! She is much more friendly with people now and loves to go up to each inmate and get love throughout the day. She is a friendly gal that loves when your attention is on her. She is most friendly with women but struggles with men. She can get along with men if they are slow to meet and offer treats. Shira likes to curl up in small spaces and has taken a liking to the lockers at the jail. She can often be found snoozing in them when they are open. Shira likes to play and her tail will fluff up when she is feeling feisty and fun.
