SHEBOYGAN – Looking for some scary good fun for the whole family, including the dog?
If you answered yes, then Bookworm Gardens is the place for you.
Oct. 10 will bring a new event, Happily Haunted Hounds, to Bookworm’s grounds. From 5 to 7 p.m., visitors and their dogs will be able to explore the gardens together. Canine companions will receive a treat bag and other doggy delights from event sponsor Pet Supplies Plus. The Humane Society of Sheboygan County will also have a table with information at the event.
Then, the last three weekends of the month (Fridays-Sundays, Oct. 11-13, 18-20 and 25-27, all 5-8 p.m.) will bring Bookworm’s hallmark event, Happily Haunted. Visitors can expect thousands of twinkling lights, themed story times, a decorated pumpkin walk, scavenger hunt, bonfire, festive treat bags, as well as concessions for purchase. As a special perk, Bookworm members can enjoy the first full weekend of Happily Haunted (Oct. 11-13) at no charge.
