Brooklyn Beckham has supported his wife Nicola-Peltz Beckham following the death of their beloved chihuahua, Nala.
The emotional couple took to Instagram to share a moving photo for the late dog’s burial which took place on Wednesday, following its unexpected death in June.
The 25-year-old comforted his wife of two years, who also threw her arm around him as they were pictured next to the casket and burial spot which was adorned with flowers.
At the time, Brooklyn penned: “Dear Nala, we miss you so much, you were unexpectedly taken from way us too soon and hope others don’t experience a loss after something as simple as a grooming.
“You were the cutest little baby girl and we will always think of you. We know you are looking and barking down on us. We love you so much and miss you beyond.”
In the months since Nicola has taken legal action against the grooming company that treated her pet before she died.
Nicola alleges Nala was left injured and in severe physical distress after a routine grooming in the company's mobile van.
Alongside the post from Nala’s burial site, Nicola made calls for a “change” in the “law to better protect fur babies”.
She wrote: “I’ve dedicated most of my life to saving dogs and I can’t in good conscience let this horrifying act happen to more families.”
According to TMZ, veterinary records indicated that the dog had fluid in her lungs, neurological problems and a rapid heart rate before her death, though the exact cause of these issues remains unknown.
In a previous Instagram post, the billionaire heiress maintained that Nala had been “perfectly healthy” before her grooming treatment.
