Two local churches are teaming up to spread blessings. Christ United Methodist Church and Mayfield First UMC will be hosting a Blessing of the Animals on Saturday, Oct. 12.
People can bring their pets or livestock to Christ UMC from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. to receive a blessing.
The Mayfield-Graves County Animal Shelter will also be microchipping pets at a discount. “Petsence” and “Barkin' Barber” will be at the event with giveaways and coupons as well.
In a post on Facebook, Christ UMC posted there will be hot dogs and drinks. The post also says each pet owner will receive a certificate and there will be opportunities for pictures.
