DULUTH, Minn. — Holidays are a time to be with family and friends.. but what about your pets?
Canal Bark in Duluth is making sure dogs are able to celebrate Thanksgiving as well.
Any dog staying at the facility that has opted into their special meal will get a full Thanksgiving feast tomorrow. That includes a turkey treat, wet food with green beans and sweet potatoes, and a pumpkin or peanut butter dessert.
“So, we try to make sure and make our boarding facility as homey as possible. So, we always are celebrating holidays, back to school, doing arts and crafts with the dogs. Whatever we can do to make them feel more comfortable when they’re away from their people and their homes,” said Emily Spurgeon, General Manager of Canal Park.
And if you are wondering what Thanksgiving foods you can give your dog Canal Bark says turkey without the skin and bones, sweet potatoes and pumpkin are great. Foods to stay away from include desserts that are sugar free and chocolate.
