Center City announces winners of the 2024 Patriotic Pet Parade

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Center City officials announced the winners of the 2024 Patriotic Pet Parade.

According to officials, with more than 40 entries, the fourth annual Center City Patriotic Pet Parade celebrated the week of Independence Day.

Winners and their owners are listed below:

  • Waggiest Tail – Sadie, owned by Brant and Jo Low
  • Best Pet/ Owner Look-Alike – Sadie, owned by Jodee Widener
  • Most Talented Dog – Canela, owned by Johanna Perez
  • Best Smile – Ripley, owned by Jessica and Gene McAndrew
  • Best Costume – “Hot Dog” Hank, owned by Joely Breshears
  • Best of Show – Lentil, owned by Claudia Luna

Officials noted that Amarillo Association of Realtors sponsored the 2024 Patriotic Pet Parade.
The city of Amarillo Animal Management and Welfare offered free microchipping and adopted one dog from the shelter.
Further, Cadence Canine Creations sold home-baked pet treats.

“The Patriotic Pet Parade was so much fun.
The animals and their owners show such creativity.
The judges have a tough job,” Duke said.
“Center City wants to continue to make the Pet Parade an annual tradition.”
