All hail to the Chief — Chief, the dog, that is. He is a young (four year old) Alaskan malamute currently at Lowell Humane Society. He loves the company of other dogs, and is crate-trained, but does need experienced dog people who understand the needs of his breed.
Malamutes are smart, crafty and need mental stimulation. Volunteers report: “He’d love the company of another dog or even doggy daycare to keep him happy and occupied. A calm, consistent routine and positive reinforcement go a long way with this big softie.”
He’s affectionate, and also loves hiking, and being out of doors. A home where he can have a lot of adventures in nature would be the best fit. Visit lowellhumanesociety.org or call 978-452-7781, and if you can’t adopt, please share his story.
