Daisy Duck is a sweet and gentle two-year-old pit bull terrier mix who just wants to be loved.
She came to the shelter as a cruelty case and although she was initially a bit scared and submissive, she has opened up so much now that she’s feeling better and knows that she’s safe. Daisy Duck is unbelievably affectionate and trusting toward everyone.
She has charmed many a volunteer and employee by begging for belly rubs, giving kisses, snuggling in for a hug, and generally being the cutest creature around. Her big brown eyes, pink freckled muzzle, and floppy little ears only add to her adorable nature.
Daisy Duck is lovely on the leash, enjoys walks (even in the snow!) and is becoming more playful and curious as she comes out of her shell. She adores people and dogs and is motivated by food and praise. As long as you tell her she’s the best girl ever and treat her accordingly, she will likely be easy to train. She is already a much more confident dog than she was when she came to us in October, and she will do even better in a forever home that can provide her with the love and care that she so clearly longs for.
Daisy Duck would love to meet you, and we would love for you to help her find her new favorite people and place so that she can finally blossom into the happy, healthy dog she was always meant to be!
