Dogs are fondly known as man's best friend because of the bond they had with their owners.

Their friendly and compassionate nature as well as their loyalty to their owners have made them not only as pets, but an important part of every family.

However, there are still instances that dogs tend to pose danger to their owners due to some of their dangerous animal behavior. It is also because some breeds are violent in nature.

Great Dane

This breed originated in Germany from boarhounds and other large hunting dogs. A great dane is often distinguished by its size, as it can grow up to 200 pounds, and strength.

Its known reputation is for gentleness and low aggression. However, this breed is so powerfully built that their attacks often result in horrible injuries.

Rottweiler

Rottweilers, meanwhile, were bred to have strong herding and guarding instincts and unusual strength. The breed is known for taking aggressive action especially when it believes that its owner or family is under threat.

Rottweilers are also aggressive when there is an intrusion on their territory. Rottweilers are the second-place breed for causing dog attacks in the United States.

American Pit Bull Terrier

This breed was developed in 19th-century England. It was bred for hunting and fighting.

This breed has been linked to well-publicized attacks. With this, many areas have imposed legislation, which directs banning the ownership of this breed at present.

The pit bulls are not suited for dog parks as their nature can change when they reach a certain age and level of maturity (at about 18 months of age).

This breed is not known to be barkers and are loyal watchdogs.

An attack by a Pit Bull Terrier led to the creation of the Dangerous Dogs Act in 1991 in the UK, and they are also prohibited in New Zealand, Spain, France, Denmark, Poland, Finland, and some US States.

Siberian Huskies

A Siberian Husky is known for its athletic temperament. It maintains an instinct and attitude for being part of a pack.

Owners believed that this breed is difficult to train. Siberian Huskies often destroy property and escape from their enclosures. Their predatory and unruly nature may cause them to attack other pets or even small children.

Alaskan Malamutes

Alaskan Malamutes are large dogs that were originally bred for hauling loads. From their ancestors, they retain a strong drive to pursue and capture their prey.

In some cases, their actions were portrayed as attacks against other pets and even children. Five deaths have been attributed to Malamute attacks in the US between 1966 and 1980.

German Sheperd

German Shepherds are muscular and extremely intelligent dogs.

They are often employed as work dogs by the police as well as part of search and rescue teams.

This breed has been banned or restricted in many countries, such as Ireland, Ukraine, Belarus, UAE and more.

Domesticated Animals

Some dog breeds have remained more aggressive because they were bred to hunt or fight for generations.

Many aggressive dogs are loving toward their families, but they must also be properly trained and socialized whenever they encounter other people.
