Diesel is a 4-year-old male German Shepherd who must be neutered before adoption. He is an owner turn in due to a move and they can’t take him. Diesel has the gorgeous classic black and brown coat of a pure-bred German Shepherd. He weighs 93 pounds so he is an extra-large guy. Diesel has been well taken care of and he is the picture of health. He is both leash trained, and house trained. Diesel is very well behaved. He has never been around children but we see no reason that he wouldn’t be okay with older children. Diesel seems to get along well with other female dogs but a ‘meet and greet’ would be required if you have another dog. He is protective and will bark to alert you if something is going on around his home. Diesel is a wonderful dog and he will make some lucky adopter a great companion. We would suggest the adopter be experienced with his breed; be able to spend a lot of time with Diesel; and be very patient with him as he adjusts to his new owner and home.
Dog/puppy adoption fees are $100. Cat/kitten adoption fees are $50. Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices.
Your pet will be spayed/neutered before adoption; or you will be given a spay/neuter certificate which will help with the cost of spay/neuter.
Unless otherwise indicated under ‘special needs’ our dogs have screened heart worm negative.
PAHS is open 11-4 Monday thru Saturday.
