Dog Abandoned At Construction Site Sparks Outrage In Shelton

These are the times when I don't have much faith in humanity. I can't believe we are still talking about people abusing animals. If you don't want your pet, give it to a shelter. Why are we hurting innocent animals and leaving them to die?

I came across a post this morning from the Shelton, CT Animal Control that said a dog was found at 5 AM soaking wet in a cage at a construction site at 1055 Bridgeport Ave. When workers arrived at the site, they took matters into their own hands and rushed the dog to the emergency vet where it was seen that the back end of the dog was not moving.

The dog was given X-rays and medication and it was seen that there were multiple pelvic fractures as well as other injures. The dog was also paralyzed. After tough decisions, the emergency vet decided to euthanize the dog to not have it be in continued pain.

What on earth did this dog do to someone to where they needed to hurt an innocent animal? It makes me so angry that people are even capable of doing things like this. Animal control says the dog was most likely dumped in the middle of the night in pain and suffering and they are now looking to see if the public has any information on who could have done this. If you know anything, they can be reached at 203-924-2501 and press 2.

Here is the entire post:

I hope that whoever did this gets caught and is held accountable. Like I said before, situations like this make me lose complete faith in humanity. RIP to the sweet sweet pup.

Did you know that Mohegan Sun is home to the Connecticut Boxing Hall of Fame? I didn't, and I quite literally strolled right into it this past weekend. Mohegan Sun has played a huge role in keeping the sport alive by hosting numerous events over the past few decades, it's a perfect place to honor the best boxers to ever come from Connecticut.
