TULSA, OK (FOX26) — Be careful about what you leave around your pets.
In May The Tulsa Fire Department says they responded to a house fire caused by a damaged lithium-ion battery.
TFD says the home was significantly damaged but the two dogs and the cat escaped unharmed through a dog door.
The video released by TFD shows one of the dogs chewing on a device that contains a lithium-ion battery.
TFD says that fire departments all over the country have responded to fires caused by these kinds of batteries,
The department wants everyone to learn about usage, safe storage and proper disposal of these batteries.
They also want to remind you to keep these devices away from pets and children.
