Taking to social media, the dog expert known as American Standard K9 spoke to a dog groomer to find out which dogs she wouldn't bring home.
The first dog on the list was the Chow Chow.
While it may look like a fluffy teddy bear, it's personality couldn't be further from it.
Danielle, who runs Modern Pet Salon, said: “Very strong, very hard dog.
“Dominant. Ancient dog breed and the attitude to go with it.”
The dog groomer also said the Black Russian Terrier was a difficult breed for first time owners to handle.
“They tend to be very dominant,” she explained.
“They need a lot of training. Um, also a lot of grooming.”
The dog expert agreed saying that the Black Russian Terrier had tons of energy and lots of grooming requirements.
Lastly, Danielle revealed she wouldn't recommend the Giant Schnauzer.
The dog groomer said they had a similar temperament as the Terrier.
She said the dog was again very dominant in personality making them tough to train and need a lot of grooming as well.
The clip has since gone viral on the TikTok account @americanstandardk9 with over 200k views and over 17k likes.
People were quick to take to the comments to share their thoughts – and it seemed many were divided.
One person wrote: “I love my Giant Schnauzer. I am a first time owner and have to say she’s just perfect.”
Another commented: “We have two giant schnauzers, they are SO STUBBORN. Not an eager to please breed but we love our girls. Lucky to have 35 acres for them to run on.”
“Well, thank god we’re not first time dog owners. But seriously. Giant schnauzers are a lot of fun. And super smart. And a lot of grooming,” penned a third.
Meanwhile a fourth said: “In my opinion it depends on the person raising the dog… not necessarily the breed.”
“I wouldn’t recommend a chow chow to anybody,” claimed a fifth.
Someone else added: “My chow is perfect!”
