Ella’s whereabouts remained a mystery for three years until the Humane Society successfully managed to capture her. The details of her wanderings are unclear, but she was often spotted around Butler Toyota, a location nearly six miles from her original home. Despite the attempts of workers to assist her, Ella remained elusive, maintaining a cautious distance due to her skittish nature.

“I left food out there through the winter,” said the dog’s owner, Theresa Hobson, who always hoped her missing dog would show up at the front door again one day. “I was afraid. I didn’t want her to be out in the cold.”
