Jeff Stevens, psychology professor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, is greeted by Aussies up for adoption at the Health United for Animals booth at Husker DogFest, which Stevens emceed Oct. 7 south of Manter Hall, 1101 T St. Stevens helped establish UNL's Canine Cognition and Human Interaction Laboratory in 2018. Husker DogFest included a mini dog lab where dog owners could test their pup's intelligence, police K9 unit dog demonstrations, a photo booth, talent show and booths from several dog-focused organizations and businesses. It even included a recent Canine Cognition Lab study that examined whether dog owners can predict their pets' impulsiveness.
