Dog lovers learn more about canines at Husker DogFest

Jeff Stevens, psychology professor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, is greeted by Aussies up for adoption at the Health United for Animals booth at Husker DogFest, which Stevens emceed Oct.

Stevens helped establish UNL's Canine Cognition and Human Interaction Laboratory in 2018. Husker DogFest included a mini dog lab where dog owners could test their pup's intelligence, police K9 unit dog demonstrations, a photo booth, talent show and booths from several dog-focused organizations and businesses.
It even included a recent Canine Cognition Lab study that examined whether dog owners can predict their pets' impulsiveness.
