DOG lovers are rushing out to Pets at Home to bag a discontinued treat for their pooches which is currently selling for just £1.75.
At that price, pet owners could be barking mad to miss out.
Pets at Home are currently selling a 1kg box of Harringtons dog food “for small adults” for less than £2.
A dog owner went on to Facebook to spread the word, writing: “Pets at home had this dog food in at £1.75 tonight.
“It said discontinued but a member of staff told me that you can order it online for click and collect for free. May help someone out.”
From the replies, it certainly did help people out.
One person posted: “Thank you. This is my dog’s favourite. Hopefully it’s not going to be discontinued everywhere!”
While another said: “Thank you, just paid £3.50 Tesco will pop there today thanks.”
A third wrote: “Good price if u see it.”
Although it wasn’t such a bargain for one dog owner who added: “My dog doesn’t like this at all, he’s a lab loves food!”
While the exact same product was not listed by supermarket comparison site Trolley.co.uk, it did show that Asda was currently selling a 1.7kg bag of puppy food for £5 while a 400g bag of adult food was selling for £1.50 at the same supermarket.
Meanwhile, Morrisons appeared to be cheapest for a 4kg bag of adult food, costing £11.
