It’s sad how badly some people can treat dogs without feeling guilty. The worst kind of mistreatment involves neglect or abuse, causing severe suffering to the animals. This story is about a dog who spent her whole life trapped in a tiny cage, leading to a life of neglect until a turning point changed her fate.

One ordinary day, a woman walking through a park spotted a cardboard box. Curious, she looked inside and found a severely malnourished dog. Immediately, she called animal rescuers, who quickly came to help. They were shocked by the dog’s condition. She had been trapped in a cage for so long that she couldn’t move and was very skinny. The rescuers didn’t waste any time and took her straight to a vet.

At the vet, the news was heartbreaking. The dog had necrosis in her hind legs, which was getting worse. “They were trying their best to suppress it, but it looked increasingly difficult as time went on. While she was in recovery, the vets made sure she was on fluids almost regularly.” The situation looked grim, and the only solution seemed to be amputation of her hind legs.

After the surgery, the dog, now named Mika, started to get better. She gained weight and even had a successful skin graft surgery on her leg. “Her mood improved and she was beginning to play with her rescuers.” Over three months, Mika made a remarkable recovery. She learned to walk again and was ready for a new home.

One of the rescuers decided to adopt Mika, and she quickly adjusted to her new home. Mika is now living happily, making progress every day. “She is making progress every day, and everyone is so proud of how brave she is. Mika is now a changed dog who just loves living her life and spending time with her favorite people.” Her story shows how much difference love and care can make in overcoming even the toughest challenges.
