East Louisville welcomed thousands of dogs on Saturday with a pet-friendly event supporting puppies without a home.The fourth annual Puppy Palooza was held at Westport Village.Guests were able to bring their furry friends for a day full of fun, music and dog vendors.The Kentucky Humane Society was also on-site with puppies available for adoption.”We're so excited about how this event has grown from about 500 to now thousands of people coming out for this free event,” said Westport Village marketing manager Carmen Schreiber. “We've been thrilled that people want to come out and support the Kentucky Humane Society and enjoy their time at Westport Village, too.”Last year, Puppy Palooza raised over $5,000 for the humane society. Organizers are hoping to beat last year's record.All proceeds from the event will be donated to KHS to support its mission.
