East Bay pets of the week for Sept. 20

Hi, I’m Charlotte! I’m an adorably active older puppy who loves adventure and being your No. 1 companion. Though I’ve been deaf since birth, that doesn’t stop me from living life to the fullest! I’m looking for an experienced adopter to continue my hand signal training and help us communicate. I’m all about fun — games, outdoor adventures and positive training are right up my alley. Of course, belly rubs are a must, too! Ready for tail wags, doggie kisses and endless joy? Let’s make every day an exciting adventure together! Visit the website of the Berkeley-East Bay Humane Society at berkeleyhumane.org to learn more and schedule a meeting with me.

Meet Tamiles! This fun and wiggly puppy is enthusiastic about everything! Whether it’s treats, toys, cuddles or making new friends — this little one’s zest for life is hard to resist.

Tamiles has already done a lot of socializing but she is eager to explore even more. Still learning about the world, Tamiles is ready for someone to help teach her the basics. Come meet this fun-loving pooch at our Oakland shelter today, and you’re sure to have a blast together! The East Bay SPCA offers walk-in adoptions at its Oakland and Dublin campuses from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. For updated and real-time information on programs and offerings, visit eastbayspca.org/adoptions.

Scrappy Doo, where are you? Oh, you’re at doggy camp at a farm outside the Bay Area? Zoinks! Scrappy is a medium-energy, affable 2-year-old who spent most of his life at Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter, and was falling apart despite how well they treated him. He needed to get out. It’s been many months since he arrived at camp, and he’s truly a happy camper! He’s smart, happy, food-motivated, crate-trained and easy to live with. To meet this pet, call 510-337-8565 or visit alamedaanimalshelter.org/adopt.

Meet Eggs and Stella Luna, gorgeous 5-month-old Turkish Van kittens with soft, silky-white fur. These two are not only stunning but incredibly smart and full of playful energy. Eggs and Stella Luna love to explore, have fun and snuggle up with their humans afterward. They are very bonded and will bring double the love and joy to their new home. To meet them, contact LouAnne at laflammemarcus@gmail.com. Community Concern for Cats now holds weekend adoption events at Pet Food Express stores in Walnut Creek and Martinez along with our regular location at 1250-H Newell Ave. in Walnut Creek. Visit communityconcernforcats.org for more information.

Tiny may be petite but she’s large in affection and happiness. Toys and cat trees, laps and belly rubs, kisses and snuggles, there’s nothing like it. Tiny loves people, is cat friendly and would love to go to a home with a sibling or a sweet resident cat. Ask about discount! Contact the staff at Milo Point Richmond for assistance from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. except Tuesdays at 220 S. Garrard Blvd. in Richmond. Our dedicated staff is on duty every day caring for our animals and have saved more than 50,000 lives over 30 years. For more details, visit milofoundation.org/contact-us.

This sweet, roughly 1-year-old Siamese kitten is named Kai. She’s not exactly photogenic and is a lot prettier in person than in pictures. (Plus she thinks the phone is a toy to immediately play with.) No sitting still for this girl, unless she’s on your lap or next to you on your bed. Kai gets along great with the other cats in her foster home. For more information about this or any other adoptable pets with the Contra Costa SPCA, call Pat at 925-323-0667.
