Bengaluru, Apr 18: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on April 18, conducted a search operation at the residence of Bengaluru-based dog breeder S Satish, who had previously claimed to own a rare wolfdog worth Rs 50 crore.

The raid was carried out at his residence in J P Nagar, with sources indicating that the ED is probing alleged discrepancies in Satish’s financial dealings, including income tax and GST records. The action follows Satish’s extravagant claim of purchasing a high-value canine, which has now come under scrutiny.

Preliminary findings reportedly reveal that the breeder’s statements about owning the world’s most expensive dog were exaggerated. Officials are examining his financial transactions and sources of income to verify the authenticity of his claims.

Satish, known in pet enthusiast circles for his involvement with rare and exotic dog breeds, had earlier stated that the animal — a wolfdog named Cadabomb Okami — was a unique hybrid between a wolf and a Caucasian Shepherd. At the time of the alleged purchase, the dog was said to be eight months old, weighed 75 kg, and stood 30 inches tall.

Though Satish stepped back from regular dog breeding years ago, he remained active in pet shows, often appearing with exotic breeds. He claimed to charge appearance fees for showcasing his dogs at events — reportedly Rs 2.5 lakh for 30 minutes and up to Rs 10 lakh for longer events.

The breeder had also stated that his rare dogs, including a Chow Chow resembling a red panda, garnered more attention than celebrities at public events. He claimed to house several of these breeds in a spacious kennel at his farm.

The ED is yet to release an official statement regarding the outcome of the raid. Further investigation is underway.
