The El Paso Animal Services Department recently underwent facility enhancements and repairs made in an effort to improve animal housing and enrichment areas, as well as upgrades to the public areas to make the center more welcoming for adopters and volunteers.
The center is located at 9068 Socorro Rd. and is open seven days a week from noon to 5 p.m.,
Improvements include:
- Replacement of dog kennels
- Exterior and interior facility upgrades including new paint, resealing of floors and new doors
- Repairs to visitor parking lot
- Renovation of the restrooms
- Addition of artificial grass and shade to dog play yards
The new artificial grass for the dog play areas was donated by El Paso Artificial Grass Supply and shade canopies were donated by the nonprofit volunteer organization Rescue Runners.
