It was supposed to be an ordinary hike for a family and their dog, Kai, but things took a turn for the worse when they found themselves nearly 5 miles up a mountain with an injured pet. This experience served as a valuable lesson for the family, and they now advise fellow pet owners who enjoy hiking with their pets to always be prepared and carry the proper equipment, including a first aid kit.
