Ex-Sky News & ITN presenter slams cops for detaining his dogs for 10 months after their walker was killed by XL Bully

A FORMER TV presenter has slammed police for detaining his dogs for ten months after their walker was mauled to death by her own XL Bully.

Ex-ITN and Sky News journalist Glen Oglaza has not seen six-year-old Cookie or 15-month-old Shadow since Natasha Johnston died in January.

She was killed by her rescue dog, which was put down following the attack in Caterham, Surrey.

Now Oglaza, 68, is fighting cops for the right to bring his pets home.

He told The Sun: “They have been put in prison – they’ve been locked up in cages for 10 months.

“We’re not allowed to visit them.

“The rights of dogs and dog owners seems, to me, to be zero.

“No bail, no visitation rights.

“It’s torture. It’s been awful for me and my family – really heart-breaking.

“My kids were devastated. They were in pieces.”

In September, Oglaza, of Croydon, South London, took Surrey Police to court where a judge ruled his pets were illegally held.

He now intends to pursue the force for costs at a civil hearing today at Staines magistrates’ court.
